Nigerian singer Omah Lay is still in the news after her performance in London caused a stir when she danced on stage with a female fan.
The singer of “The Bend You” made news after a video from his UK performance went viral and showed him dancing wildly with a female fan.
The young woman, who went to the event with her boyfriend, recently talked about their prior agreement to the incident.
As Jessani, she gained notoriety for her on-stage exchange with Omah Lay and faced backlash for what appeared to be a disdainful attitude toward their relationship.
But Jessani explained everything in an interview with Trendcntrl, saying that she and her partner had an agreement on her involvement.
After the singer summoned her forward, she said that her boyfriend had encouraged her to go on stage with Omah Lay.
Jessani also revealed that she had been a longtime fan of the Afrobeat artist, which is what made her buy concert tickets.
She went on to say that she invited her boyfriend to the celebration in the hopes of making him feel better during a trying time and that they would have fun together.
Since then, Jessani has expressed regret for any miscommunication and emphasized how supportive her partner is of her in the unexpected spotlight.
