Fisher was born in the London borough of Chingford. [Citation required] He won the Faldo Series, Nick Faldo’s development program for young golfers, in 2003, 2004, and 2005, and was considered one of the brightest prospects of his age as a result.
In 2004, he was a member of the English team that won the European Boys’ Squad Championship, as well as a member of Europe’s Junior Ryder Cup team that defeated the United States in Ohio. He was the youngest player to compete in the Walker Cup in 2005.
Fisher joined the European Tour’s qualifying school in late 2006, while still an amateur. He placed sixth, becoming the youngest British player to get a tour card, and he immediately became a pro.
