The president of the Nungua Traditional Area has called Okatakiye Afrifa-Mensah, a radio broadcaster with Accra-based Angel FM, to come before the Traditional Council.

The elders’ invitation to the noisy presenter comes after Afrifa-Mensah allegedly made critical remarks about Nuumo Gborbu Wulomo-Shitse, the Overlord of Gadangme State, and King Odaifio Welentsi III, the Paramount Chief of Nungua Traditional Area.

The conference is slated for Friday, April 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., in the Gborbu Wulomo-Shitse Palace, also known as the Nungua Gborbu Koo Naa.

The remarks were purportedly uttered during a radio show on Angel FM.

A portion of the “summons” reads, “I have been instructed by the Elders of the Nungua Traditional Area to invite you to the palace concerning the false, unsavory, and desecrating statements you made against Nuumo Gborbu Wulomo-Shitse, Overlord of the Gadangme State, and King Odaifio Welentsi III, Paramount Chief of Nungua Traditional Area, during a radio show at Angel FM,” .

However, the traditional elders have encouraged the radio broadcaster to treat their summons with the utmost respect.
