The youth of Offinso Kayera in the Ashanti Region have made a bold call for the Minister for Food & Agriculture, Bryan Acheampong, to assume the role of chief following the passing of Karikari Wiafi-Ababio. Dr. Bryan Acheampong, who hails from the Ayensua Kokoo Asona Abusua royal gate, is seen as a potential champion for development in the area.

During a press conference, the group highlighted Dr. Acheampong’s track record of development in the Abetifi constituency in the Eastern Region, where he currently serves as Member of Parliament. They believe that his leadership skills and commitment to progress make him the ideal candidate to lead their community.

“We see Dr. Acheampong as one of our own, with strong roots in our royal lineage. His grandparents migrated to Kwahu, and we are confident that with our support, he can bring about positive change in our community,” expressed Nana Owusu Ansah, a youth leader.

The youth are hopeful that Dr. Acheampong will accept their call and use his influence to drive development and prosperity in Offinso Kayera. It remains to be seen how Dr. Acheampong will respond to this appeal from the community.
