Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s Manifesto Committee has appointed Nana Obiri Boahen, a former general secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), as co-chair for the local government.
This occurs just a few days after he voiced his discontent with Dr. Bawumia and the NPP for ignoring him when it came to appointments following over eight years in administration.

Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah, the minister of local government, will serve as the advisor for the 12-member group.
