The Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Mr Kennedy Agyapong has donated a cash prize of GH¢10,000 to the contestants of Adisadel College at the end of the 2018 edition of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ).
The member of parliament, who himself is a former alumnus of the school termed the “Zebras” had initially promised to give the students a Range Rover vehicle if they had won the competition altogether.
Adisadel College came third behind West African Secondary School (WASS) and eventual winners St. Peters SHS at the quiz event finale held at the National Theatre on July 5, 2018.
To show appreciation for their efforts, Mr Kennedy Agyapong donated the cash price of GHc10,000 to motivate the next participants of his alma-mater to strive harder and win the competition.
Adisadel College has been in four straight National Science And Maths Quiz finals, winning just once.
