Shama Senior High School emerged victorious in a thrilling clash with Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS) in the Western Zonal Championship. The Evergreen Shass of Shama showcased their dominance, leaving GSTS trailing at the bottom with only 7 points.
After the first round, Shama SHS took the lead with an impressive 21 points, followed by St. Joseph’s SHS with 18 points. St. Mary’s Boys and GSTS lagged behind with 11 points each. The second round saw no improvements from the trailing schools, as they each scored 7 points after deductions for incorrect answers.
This allowed Shama SHS to extend their lead to 27 points, showcasing their superiority in the competition. The Shama SHS students, known as the Evergreens, celebrated their victory with loud cheers and applause, overshadowing the other schools.
At the end of the final round, Shama SHS secured their spot in the grand finale with 34 points. St. Mary’s Boys SHS came second with 20 points, followed by St. Joseph SHS with 15 points, and GSTS at the bottom with only 7 points.
