Adwoa Safo, the defeated parliamentary candidate for the Dome-Kwabenya constituency, has at last discovered her voice following her painful loss in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary primary.
The defeat came on January 27, 2024, when Michael Oquaye Jr., the Chief Executive of the Ghana Free Zones Authority, defeated her by a margin of 778 votes.
Adwoa Safo addressed her political future three days after the loss, in spite of her disappointment.
She reaffirmed her unshakable commitment to working hard to support the NPP’s attempts to end the eight-year cycle as she looked ahead to the general elections on December 7.
Over the past twelve years, the Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament has been able to represent the interests of her constituency in Parliament thanks to the delegates and people who trusted her with this responsibility.
Adwoa Safo, who is entering a new stage in her life, is resolved to be a significant player in the future political scene and is unwavering in her commitment to the NPP.
