A man has been arrested at Awutu Senya West Constituency for allegedly assaulting NPP delegates with a knife.
The man whose name is unknown attacked the delegates with a knife during an incident involving the distribution of money at the polling centre.
According to UTV reporter Seth Mantey, the incident happened when Kennedy Agyapong’s team bribing delegates GHC300 for votes decided to stop the exercise for some time.
And when the money sharing stopped, a scuffle broke out and the man in question took a knife from his pocket and attempted to stab the delegates involved.
He is currently behind bars at Awutu Breku police station, Ghanafuo.com understands.
The incident has been condemned by many social media users who saw the video online.
“When are some of us going to learn? How much money are they sharing that you want to attack someone? Why are they even sharing money? Corruption nkoaa,” an Instagram user said.
Another user said: “Why are they sharing money in the first place, Ghanaians and delicates are selling themselves for so cheap, they should remember that they have been paid and these politicians owe them both when they come into power .
How can you sell 4 years for 450cedis and 300 cedis, this is so shameful, they people are so hungry they are selling their future for a one-day meal.”
