The Bekwai Constituency parliamentary candidate (PC) for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), attorney Ralph Poku-Adusei, attended a thanksgiving service at the St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Bekwai, Ashanti Region, on Sunday, February 4, 2024.
Along with him were his lovely wife, his kids, a few NPP council members and supporters, executives, coordinators and executives of polling places, party members, friends, and relatives on both sides of the political spectrum.
On this happy occasion, a special prayer was said for Ralph Poku-Adusei, his family, NPP executives and supporters, and the campaign team in hopes of their winning both the upcoming NPP primaries and the parliamentary and presidential elections on December 7, 2024.
In his sermon, Rev. Benjamin Kwakye cautioned Mr. Poku-Adusei to set a good example for others and to continue being devoted to the people of Bekwai.
In order to become the best or one of the best in the nation, he stated that the values of the Catholic church and the lessons he gained from working as a mass servant during his time in basic and secondary education should direct his political career.
Following the church service, Lawyer Ralph and his group gave his uncle, Barima Offe Okogyeasuo (Kokofu Manhene), a courtesy call. Following this, a reception was arranged for the roughly eight hundred (800) party faithful who went with Ralph Poku Adusei to the Thanksgiving service.
Lawyer Ralph took the opportunity of his remarks at the reception to express his gratitude to everyone who attended and to those who were unable to do so for their prayers, support, and guidance along the way. He gave the audience his word that they should back him in order to win on December 7 and that he would keep his word to establish the Bekwai constituency’s independence.
