The Serbian tennis pro has advanced to the semis once again in the ongoing Wimbledon Championships. The Wimbledon tournament is rapidly coming to a close as the men’s singles quarterfinals took place on Tuesday and Wednesday (July 6).
The world No. 1 needed three hours and 35 minutes on Centre Court to make his mark; he has been unbeaten on the court since 2013, but the 20-year-old Italian pushed him hard.
Djokovic will face Cameron Norrie in the semi-finals. Their fixture is scheduled for Friday at 12:30 pm. The match promises to be a thrilling one packed with lots of action.
The 35-year-old Serbian advanced to the Wimbledon semi-finals after rallying from two sets down to defeat Jannik Sinner (5-7 2-6 6-3 6-2 6-2) on Centre Court.
Djokovic is said to have used all of his experience to overcome the deficit incurred at the beginning of the sets and advance to his 11th Wimbledon semi-final. Sinner, however, took a nasty tumble late in the fourth set while chasing a drop shot, injuring his left ankle.
