American journalist, Jim Hartz died on April 17, 2022.
Hartz presented Asia Now on PBS in the early 1990s, a joint production with Japan’s NHK public broadcasting.
During his two years on the Today program, he covered President Richard M. Nixon’s resignation, the conclusion of the Vietnam War, and the American Bicentennial.
Hartz was a local news reporter for WNBC when he was offered the opportunity to host.
He co-hosted the Today show with Barbara Walters in the mid-1970s.
When he was 34 years old, he took over for Frank McGee, who died at the age of 58.
He died at the age of 82.

She had three children with him. She was believed to be a businesswoman who supported her husband’s line of work.
