The news that Nordi Mukiele will play for Paris Saint-Germain has been a setback for Chelsea and Thomas Tuchel. The defender moved from RB Leipzig to Les Parisiens in a deal worth an estimated £13.5 million.
Chelsea’s latest signing of Mukiele comes after reports over the weekend that Barcelona and Sevilla had reached an agreement on a £51 million transfer fee for long-time target Jules Kounde.
Additionally, the Blues missed out on Raphinha’s earlier window deal with Barcelona.
Also rumored to be interested in signing Mukiele was Chelsea. In exchange for signing Mukiele, they were rumored to be open to allowing Timo Werner to return to Leipzig.
However, all hopes of signing the France international is now lost now that he is going to join the likes of Messi and Neymar at PSG.
Mukiele signed a five-year contract with PSG and will play in his hometown once again this year. According to spcultaions, the total deal value, including add-ons, is £13.5 million.
