This coming weekend, from February 24, 2024 to February 28, 2024, is scheduled to host the National Invitational School’s Athletics Championships (NISAC).
The University of Ghana stadium in Accra will host it.
Fifty-seven Senior High Schools will compete in this four-day invitational school athletics competition, hoping to win distinction for themselves as well as their institutions.
It is anticipated that 2000 people would compete in different sports.
The fact that the times these competitors attain will be certified and acknowledged internationally is one of the tournament’s most thrilling features. Any student who breaks a record will, therefore, also hold the world record.
Apart from the medals that are up for grabs, there will be various other attractions, the most notable of which are the jama sessions.
Through the NISAC, people can proudly represent their alma mater and highlight the institution that had a significant influence on who they are now.
With assistance from the Ghana Education Service (GES) and sponsorship from Citi TV, Ghana Athletics is the driving force behind the inaugural National Invitational School’s Athletics Championships. Ghana National Gas Company Limited (Ghana Gas) is the sponsor.
