Former No. 1 in the world in doubles, professional tennis player Nikola Mekti is from Croatia.
He won the men’s doubles title in the 2021 Wimbledon Championships with his countryman Mate Pavi, and the mixed doubles title at the 2020 Australian Open alongside Barbora Krejková.

Mektic is not married and it’s not also known if he’s in a relationship. Mektic also came in second place in men’s doubles at the 2020 US Open with Wesley Koolhof and in mixed doubles at the 2018 US Open with Alicja Rosolska.
In October 2021, he became the second Croatian to hold the top spot in men’s doubles. With four different partners, Mektic has won 16 doubles championships on the ATP Tour, including six at the Masters 1000 level. He and Koolhof also triumphed in the 2020 ATP Finals.
In May 2013, he attained his highest singles rating of No. 213 in the world. Mektic and Pavi won the men’s doubles gold medal at the 2020 Olympic Games. Mektic was a member of the Croatian team that won the 2018 Davis Cup.
