After a difficult preseason, Nicolas Pepe has declared to his fans that he is determined to revive his Arsenal career.

Last season, the 27-year-old winger was forced to play second fiddle to players like Bukayo Saka, and now that Gabriel Jesus and Marquinhos have joined the team, his opportunities have been further constrained.

Pepe, who is firmly at the bottom of Mikel Arteta’s priority list, is hoping that the upcoming season, which will be his fourth at the Emirates, can serve as a new beginning after rumors of his transfer to another club surfaced.

Pepe may be available on loan as Arteta works to streamline his squad, and Newcastle, Everton, and Leeds are just a few of the teams that have been linked with signing him. But unlike last season, Arsenal will now have to manage a Europa League campaign, which could give the former Lille star opportunities to shine all season.

Three years ago, Pepe was acquired by the north London club for a club-record £72 million by ex-manager Unai Emery. The No. 19 is still among those who technical director Edu might fancy offloading in the final weeks of the summer transfer window despite only starting five Premier League games last season.
