American rapper and actress Nicki Minaj recalls an unforgettable moment she had at Billboard Music Awards in 2013.
According to the hip-hop legend, she endured pain during and after the performance with Lil Wayne.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, December 28, she disclosed that the boots she wore for the show were 5-inch and ‘ridiculously hefty’. This caused some pain whenever she attempted to squat.
She said her team ‘contacted a masseuse at the last minute to massage my legs, but it didn’t work.’
Her full post reads: “Ignore the action with the hands between the bowed knees. But pay attention. That enunciation isn’t to be messed with, chile. Are you sure you understand everything? #QueenTingz The boots were ridiculously hefty, with a 5-inch heel.
“I was in so much agony the night before from trying to perform all the squat motions before stretching. I was thinking, ‘I’m not going to be able to perform.’ OMG. We contacted a masseuse at the last minute to massage my legs, but it didn’t work- I was in a lot of pain during the performance. Anyway, hello, barbz. I adore you.”
The 30-year-old rapper gave a legendary performance in front of the crowd while performing her song “High School”.
