Nicholas Clayton Mullens, a quarterback with the National Football League’s Minnesota Vikings, was born on March 21, 1995. For the Southern Miss Golden Eagles, a college football team he played for, he broke Brett Favre’s single-season records for throwing yards (4,476) and touchdown passes (38).

From 2017 until 2020, he was a player with the San Francisco 49ers. Mullens was a Philadelphia Eagles player as well.

Mullens was born on March 21, 1995, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Suzanne and Mark Mullens. He was raised in the Birmingham neighborhood of Hoover, Alabama. He is the great-grandson of Ernie Tabor, a minor-league pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies in the 1950s.

His uncle, Scott Tabor, held the school record for most career victories while pitching for the Arkansas Razorbacks baseball team. He also made a living as a minor-league pitcher.  Mullens received his diploma from Hoover’s Spain Park High School.
