German professional golfer Nick Bachem hails from Cologne. His current circuit is the European Tour (now known as the DP World Tour). Before turning pro in 2021, Nick competed and triumphed three times on the Pro-Golf Tour as an amateur.
Nick had an extremely successful amateur career in golf after taking up the game at a very young age. In 2018, he finished T19 at the Irish Amateur Open, T30 at the French Amateur Stroke Play, and T37 at the European Amateur, among other highlights of his amateur career. He placed third at the Dutch Amateur and T36 at the Lytham Trophy in 2019.
He finished in second place at the European Amateur, tied for sixth at the GTGA Invitational, and thirty-sixth at the Master of the Amateurs in 2020. Additionally, he represented Germany on multiple teams, notably at the European Championships.
In 2021, the native of Cologne became a professional. He participated in the DP World Tour in 2022 and, following a season that saw five top-10 finishes, placed 25th in the Road to Mallorca rankings. He has already had several excellent results in 2023, such as a T18 at the SDC Championship and a T19 at the Hero Indian Open.
