Glenis Brown, a piano teacher, and Roger Hoult, a commercial pilot, welcomed Nicholas Caradoc Hoult into the world on December 7, 1989, in Wokingham. His middle name, Caradoc, which is Welsh, means “The Beloved One”.

The names of Nicholas’ parents are Roger Hoult and Glenis Brown. Roger is a retired commercial pilot who spent most of his time working away from home.
