The award-winning author Ni Kuang is said to have died on Sunday at the age of 87. He was known throughout the Chinese-speaking world for his Prudently series of adventure-science fiction novels.
Ni Kuang Illness: What Health Condition Did Ni Kuang Have?
According to the media, Ni, the author of hundreds of novels and story collections, as well as over 300 film scripts, had been in poor health and had made few public appearances in recent years.
He is rumored to have suffered a skin cancer condition which is exactly what caused his death. However, there are no details as to how long he battled the canker.
Sadly, Kuang died on the same day as Alex Law, the legendary director, and screenwriter.
Ni’s shadow looms large over the genres of science fiction, wuxia fiction, and martial arts, but he also wrote extensive non-fiction pieces, newspaper columns, satire, and dabbled in romance and detective fiction.
