After a long illness, respected traditional leader Nkosi Ngangomhlaba Matanzima of the Western Tembu clan died.
The news of Matanzima’s death was confirmed by the Eastern Cape House of Traditional Leaders in a statement (ECHTL).
Matanzima passed away on February 22nd, early in the morning.
He was a founding member of the ECHTL and served as the organization’s chairperson for many years.
He was also the chairperson of the Moral Regeneration Movement in the Eastern Cape, a post he held until his death.
