New York Film Festival to host the world premiere of the Emmett Till biopic’s trailer

The first trailer for MGM Studios’ upcoming film “Till,” which chronicles the terrifying tale of Emmett Till, a 14-year-old black boy who was kidnapped, tortured, and killed in Mississippi in 1955, has been published.

The movie, whose limited release is scheduled on October 14 and its wide release for October 28, will chronicle not only Till’s tragic murder but also his mother’s valiant quest for justice.

Along with Whoopi Goldberg, Frankie Faison, Haley Bennett, and Sean Patrick Thomas, the movie is directed by Chukwu.

This was my kid, Emmett Till,” the mother of Emmett (played by Danielle Deadwyler) is heard saying in the clip, which was published on Monday.

The following scene depicts Emmett (Jalyn Hall’s character) getting ready for his trip to see his cousins.

The mother of Emmett states in the trailer, “The lynching of my son has shown me that what happens to any of us, wherever in the world, had best be the business of us all.”
