Neighbors Connect, well-known by the community or nationwide as one of the non-governmental organizations, donated some vital items and materials worth GH10,000 to students and pupils of Asofan MA Basic School in the Ga North Municipality of the Greater Accra Region on Friday, January 26, 2024.
Meanwhile, the said items include such things as uniforms, bags, exercise books, notebooks, and, not to forget, pens and pencils, among others.
This, however, is also noted to have formed part of the NGO’s annual project, “Neighbors Connect Care for the Less Privileged.”
The founder of the aforementioned organization, by the name of Ms. Josephine Asmah, noted that the donations were meant to cause a change and total transformation in the entire community and society as a whole. This will also impact the lives of the pupils and the students, especially the less privileged.
According to her, she also noted that the organization, which was a group of dedicated Facebook friends and extended to WhatsApp as well, was known to have been formed and erected in the year 2019. Specifically, they have the aim of giving back to society, thus doing the best for the community and beyond.
She noted in her speech that, this year, they decided to choose the aforementioned basic school, and that has been their target to assist the students and pupils in that school.
In addition, the headmaster of the school, Mr. Christian Ahiabe, on behalf of the entire school management, thanked the NGO and other members for their support and said it would go a very long way to improve the academic performances of the children in society and the community as a whole.
