Recently, the NDLEA in Nigeria halted a large shipment of potent cannabis known as Ghanaian Loud. It was being smuggled into Lagos from Ghana.
On Twitter, the NDLEA announced that they had apprehended a J5 bus and two vehicles that were transporting 14,524.8 kg of this powerful type of cannabis.
These cars were apprehended in the early hours of Sunday, January 28, 2024, in the vicinity of Lagos’ Ojuelegba neighborhood.
Two drivers were able to flee from their moving cars during the interception, but Nasiru Ojomu, 66, was taken into custody by the NDLEA.
The NDLEA claims that Nasiru is employed by Suleiman Jimoh, a drug dealer headquartered in Akala, Mushin, who goes by the names Temo and Olowo Idi Ogede.
The NDLEA has been keeping a close eye on this drug dealer for a while. The nation’s illegal drug trade is still being actively prevented by the NDLEA.
“In the last three years, NDLEA operatives have seized several shipments of same psychoactive substance worth billions of naira linked to Temo. The wanted drug lord has since gone into hiding while the Agency continues manhunt for him,” the statement read in parts.
