Joana Gyan Cudjoe, the wife of well-known artist Keche Andrew, appears to be facing challenges in her parliamentary ambitions due to criticism from party members in her constituency who doubt her suitability for the position.
Her candidacy has drawn criticism from Gyedu Frimpong, a former member of the NDC Elections Committee in Amenfi Central, who cites her apparent disconnection from the party in the district.
He claims that even though Joana Cudjoe comes from Amenfi Central, she is not affiliated with the local NDC and does not use her voting privileges there.
In addition, he claimed that she had two party cards, which is against party rules.
Along with calling Joana Cudjoe “dishonest” and unfit for leadership in the constituency, Gyedu Frimpong also urged the national party executives to go into her background in great detail.
On the same show, George Arthur, the former Amenfi Central MP, refuted these claims. He warned fans not to believe any stories about Joana Cudjoe, calling them attempts to damage her reputation.
“Those making these accusations support the current Member of Parliament because they despise her. All they’re doing is accusing her of unfounded things. Her fake ID cards are a lie as well. George Arthur underlined, “They intend to intentionally discredit and ruin the lady.
