Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe is a popular Iranian-British national who has been freed by the officials of Iran after she was sentenced to five years in prison.
Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe was found guilty of “plotting to topple the Iranian government” and was placed behind the bar from 3 April 2016 until March 16th, 2022.
Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe has been released together with Anoosheh Ashoori. They are going to be reunited with their families in the United Kingdom.
Her daughter and daughter Gabriella Ratcliffe are excited to see their mother after six years.
Speaking to journalists after the release of his wife, Mr. Ratcliffe said,
“Ours has been a cruel experience in some ways, but it’s also been an exposure to such a level of kindness and care,” he said.
“This will be a chapter in our lives, but there are many more chapters to come.”

Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe is the mother of Gabriella Ratcliffe. She was together with her mother when they went to visit her grandparents in Iran. She watched as her mother was detained at the airport.
Gabriella Ratcliffe was born on June 11, 2014, in the United Kingdom. She stayed with her grandparents after he passport was confiscated and until October 11, 2019, when she came back to he father in London.
Gabriella Ratcliffe is now schooling in the United Kingdom.
