Nations FC coach, Kasim Ocansey Mingle, is not happy with striker Asamoah Boateng Afriyie following their recent draw against Bofoakwa Tano.

The Premier League newcomers were held to a 2-2 stalemate by Bofoakwa Tano at the DR. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Sunday.

Bofoakwa Tano took the lead after 15 minutes of play through Charles Mensah. Despite falling behind, Nations FC quickly responded with a goal from Barimah Baah just a minute into the second half. Bofoakwa Tano regained the lead in the 83rd minute with a goal from Emmanuel Boateng, but Nations FC managed to salvage a point thanks to a goal from Prince Acquah in the 86th minute.

Striker Asamoah Boateng Afriyie, who has been a key player for Nations FC this season, failed to make an impact in the game against Bofoakwa Tano. Coach Kasim Mingle expressed his disappointment in Afriyie’s performance, noting that the striker missed several clear goal-scoring opportunities.

Despite the draw, Mingle remains optimistic about Nations FC’s chances in the Ghana Premier League title race. The team currently sits in second place on the league table with 44 points from 26 matches, five points behind leaders Samartex.

Mingle emphasized that Nations FC will continue to fight for the title, with the coach believing that his team can still make a push for the top spot.
