Nations FC Coach Disappointed with Stalemate Against Bofoakwa Tano
Kasim Ocansey Mingle, the tactician for Nations FC, expressed his disappointment after his team’s 2-2 draw against Bofoakwa Tano in the Ghana Premier League. The match took place at the DR. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, with the Premier League debutants unable to secure a win.
Bofoakwa Tano took the lead after 15 minutes with a goal from Charles Mensah. Despite the halftime break advantage for the visitors, Nations FC quickly responded with an equalizer from Barimah Baah just a minute into the second half.
In the 83rd minute, Bofoakwa Tano regained the lead with a goal from Emmanuel Boateng. However, Prince Acquah managed to score for Nations FC in the 86th minute, securing a draw and preventing his team from a defeat.
Following the match, Mingle expressed his disappointment, stating, “We should have scored about six or five goals. We had the chances including a penalty but we missed them all.”
Despite the draw, Nations FC remains in second place on the Ghana Premier League table after 26 matches this season. The Abrankese-based club currently has 44 points, trailing behind leaders Samartex by five points.
