Bright Abakosem aka Double, the National Security officer who was involved in the chaos that happened at the recent Ayawaso by-election, has appeared before the Commission of Inquiry today to testify.
He was filmed assaulting the Member of Parliament of Ningo Prampram constituency, Sam George.
He appeared before the commission with an interpreter, telling them that he is not proficient in the English language hence he needs help.
Before getting the National Security job, Double stated that he was a mobile phone seller at Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra.
He said he received training for 3 weeks at Asutuare before joining the National security.
However, some Ghanaians on social media, especially Twitter, found the situation outrageous.
Below is how they reacted to Double’s situation.
This is not one of those cases where you can say English language proficiency is not necessary. A national security operative based at the VIP lounge of Kotoka Airport must speak English.

So the Double, Sam George was talking about is before the Commission. So he used to sell mobile phones at Circle before he was recruited into the National Security SWAT team. He was trained for three weeks and had been working there for two years. What a joke.
