Multiple award winning rapper, Sarkodie has expressed his unwavering support for the embattled Nana Appiah Mensah. In the past few days, the latter has been facing a turbulent period following an order by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to one of the entities he owns, Menzgold, to suspend their operations with the public.
In August 2018, the Bank of Ghana also cautioned the general public about dealing with Menzgold. The central bank claimed the gold dealership company was operating without the required licence.
Reacting to the SEC order to Menzgold, the most decorated African rapper stated that knowing Nana Appiah Mensah personally, he was of the firm conviction that the Menzgold CEO genuinely cares about the country’s progress. Sarkodie admitted that he may not be privy to the entire details concerning Nana Appiah Mensah’s operations, however, that would not inhibit him from believing that NAM 1 is for a better Ghana.
