Esther Smith, a gospel musician, recently opened up about a touching and inspiring story from her past.
In an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM, Esther shared how her mother almost went through with an abortion when she found out she was pregnant with her. At the time, Esther’s mother was still a student and feared the repercussions of having a child out of wedlock.
Fortunately, Esther’s grandmother’s sister intervened and convinced Esther’s father to stop the abortion. Despite the initial reluctance to bring her into the world, Esther’s mother was eventually convinced by a pastor who prophesied that Esther would grow up to become a prominent figure in Ghana.
This revelation has led Esther to believe that her gift of singing is a divine talent that was predestined from birth. She credits her success in the music industry to the support and guidance she received from her family and the faith that was instilled in her from a young age.
