Manchester United midfielder, Kobbie Mainoo, has shared the challenges he faced after suffering a foot injury during the team’s preseason training ahead of the just-concluded season.
The 19-year-old talent, who earned the trust of manager Erik ten Hag during the pre-season, unfortunately, collided with Rodrygo during a friendly match against Real Madrid, resulting in the injury. Despite this setback, Mainoo was able to return to action and played in 24 Premier League games, scoring three crucial goals and providing an assist.
Reflecting on his injury, Mainoo admitted that it was a difficult period for him. However, he remained focused on his recovery and trusted the medical team to get him back in shape for the remainder of the season.
Mainoo’s remarkable rise to stardom has been a highlight of the campaign for Manchester United fans. He made his senior debut for England in March, impressing in matches against Brazil and Belgium. His crowning moment came in the FA Cup final against Manchester City, where he scored the second goal, securing victory for the team.
