The widow of John Kumah, the late Deputy Finance Minister and Member of Parliament for Ejisu, is definite that her husband did not perish from food extermination, contrary to partying reports.
In its place, she illuminated that he pluckily battled an unadorned infection for over a year.
Speaking in an interview with Asaase News, Apostle Lilian Kumah said her late husband had been battling and suffering with a lethal ailment for nearly a year now since it was exposed by his doctors in Germany, and that is what her husband yielded to on Thursday, March 7, 2024, and not food poisoning.
Stop the speculation she noted to the entire public.
However, in a very sobering and grieving voice, Apostle Mrs. Lilian Kumah, who is also the General Overseer of Disciples of Christ Ministries, queried all those hazarding about the cause of the death of her lovely husband to put a sojourn to it since it is aggravating the pain of her instantaneous family and the greater Kumah family.
It was noted that she also called for swift police action against known persons such as Blessed Godsbrain Smart, commonly known as Captain Smart, who has publicly stated that her late husband was poisoned but has not been made to provide any suggestions to prove the wild claim he has made about the demise of John Kumah.
She noted, “Why is it that someone referring to Captain Smart has been this bold to claim that he knows for a fact that a person like John Kumah, who has served his country virtually all his life, was poisoned while he was working for his country and the party known to be called the New Patriotic Party, NPP, and why should or must we sit down and not bring that person to book?
She also noted that, “If it is true that a person who is not dead but alive claims that he knows how my husband, John, however, died and that he was poisoned, and that person is still moving around for the past three weeks, it hurts me, it saddens me, and I do not know how best to express my deepest frustrations about these false and unnecessary claims by Captain Smart,” Apostle Lilian Kumah said.
She added, “If there are laws in this country concerning such false claims, I think this is the time for the leadership of the land to bring that wicked person (Captain Smart) to book to prove his false claims and to point out the persons who were involved in the poisoning of my late husband,” Mrs. Kumah further stated.
Meanwhile, speaking about the factual cause of the death of her husband, Apostle Lilian Kumah pointed out that John Kumah was spotted with a blood-related disease once in August 2023 in Germany when she convoyed her husband for a medical check-up.
In addition, the wife of the deceased, Mrs. Kumah, noted that during all the medical check-ups of her husband in Germany and Ghana, not once did any of the medical doctors they encountered ever mention the issue of exterminating the blood vessels of her husband, the late John Kumah.
“My husband went through pain, but he never showed that he was in pain. He didn’t want anyone to know that he was actually going through anything of that sort. He went through all the pain to do everything he needed to do during the old-fashioned period of his ill-health.
Also, she noted, quoting that “I have all the medical reports both from Germany and Ghana, and food poisoning has never been mentioned in any of the reports,” the late John Kumah’s widow added.
Meanwhile, Dr. John Kumah died at about 12:40 PM at the Suhum government hospital, and after an ambulance he was travelling in together with his wife and medical doctor from Ejisu to Accra was diverted to the Suhum medical capability, the doctor on board observed that Mr. Kumah’s condition was rapidly deteriorating.
Strongly and notably on arrival at the hospital, a little after 11:00 am on Thursday, March 7, 2024, the remedial team tried to stabilize him so he could endure his journey to Accra for his ahead-planned expedition to Germany, where he has been getting behavior for his health contest. However, the Suhum government hospital’s efforts are abortive enough to keep him buzzing.
