Accra-based events organizer Jamrok Bar and Event Center has taken legal action against Ghanaian artist Mr. Drew and his DJ, DJ Filter.
The lawsuit, initiated on April 15, 2024, at the Senchi District Court, aims to recover GHC15,000 paid to Mr. Drew for a scheduled event where he failed to perform despite receiving partial payment.
According to a report from Hitz FM, the event center is seeking additional compensation for the full event expenses totaling GHC36,511.
They are also claiming damages of GHC200,000, citing significant harm to their reputation due to Mr. Drew’s absence.
