The ever-popular American actor has become one of the most admired figures in contemporary US cinema thanks to his commanding voice and composed demeanor. Mayme Edna (Revere), a teacher, and Morgan Porterfield Freeman, a barber, welcomed Morgan into the world on June 1st, 1937 in Memphis, Tennessee.
