Montell Jordan was born on December 3, 1968. He is an American pastor, singer, songwriter, and record producer.
Growing up, Montell attended the Junipero Serra High School in Gardena California. He furthered he education at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.
He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications.
He is famous for his 1995 single “This Is How We Do It”. Jordan was the main male solo artist on Def Jam’s Def Soul imprint until he left the label in 2003.
Jordan started working for Williams Television Time after graduating, where he assisted in making TV infomercials.
Starting his career as a musician, Jordan invited his coworkers to see him perform at a showcase.
According to interviews with Jordan, musicians Janet Jackson and Shanice Wilson turned up for the show.

Montell Jordan was born in South Central Los Angeles to Elijah and Deloris Jordan who were deacons in a Baptist Church.
His father was an accountant, and his mother was a business administrator. Jordan had two sister namely Jennifer Jordan and Tracy Jordan.

Jordan is married to Kristin Hudson and they have four children. Skyler Jordan, Samantha Jordan, Chris Jordan, Sydney Jordan are the names of Montell’s children.
