Monique Hanotte

Monique Hanotte was a Belgian resistance fighter.

MI9 recruited her and she together with her family saved the lives of 140 Allied pilots who were stranded behind German lines.

Monique became one of the most active members of the Belgian resistance network known as the Comet Line, which rescued over 800 pilots and soldiers from Nazi custody during WWII.

She was also one of the last remaining witnesses to their incredible bravery, since just around a half-dozen Comet Line members were alive.

She was 102.
