Controversial TV presenter and socialite Mona Gucci has opened up about the reasons behind the end of her friendship with fellow social media influencer Moesha Buduong.
In a recent interview, Mona Gucci revealed that her job as a critic and TV presenter often puts her at odds with friends, especially when she refuses to take sides on popular issues.
She cited her criticism of ‘slay queens’ as a particular point of contention with Moesha Buduong, leading to the demise of their friendship.
Despite the fallout with Moesha, Mona Gucci remains undeterred in her work. She explained, “This job we do as presenters has its merits and demerits. I have had my own share of challenges which includes losing friends.
For instance, when I started talking about slay queens and the kinds of jobs they do to survive, my close friend Moesha didn’t like it and attacked me.”
Mona Gucci also addressed the recent health challenges facing Moesha Buduong, noting that she chose not to contribute to raising funds for her treatment as they are no longer friends.
Earlier this year, Moesha’s brother revealed that she was hospitalized in critical condition after a fall that resulted in a head injury and coma. Despite a public Gofund campaign launched in her name, there have been no updates on Moesha’s health status.
