Mohammed Muntari (born 20 December 1993) is a Ghanaian-born Qatari footballer who now plays as a striker for Al-Duhail. Muntari was granted naturalization to play for Qatar’s national team.
His parents raised him in Kumasi. He moved to the Arabian Kingdom when he was 19 years old, in 2012. Muntari obtained his Qatari nationality four years after arriving in Qatar to play for the Qatari national team.

Muntari began his career at the Golden Lions Soccer Academy, which is run by former Ghana international Nii Lamptey. In 2012, he joined El Jaish.
He signed a five-year contract with Lekhwiya in July 2015.
International career opportunities
Muntari was born and reared in Ghana, but migrated to Qatar early in his career and became a naturalized citizen. In December 2014, he was called up to the Qatar national team. He made his debut on December 27, 2014, against Estonia, scoring his first goal.
