Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus and his West Ham United team have suffered elimination from the UEFA Europa League this season.

The English side was unable to overcome a 3-1 aggregate defeat to German Champions Bayer Leverkusen in the quarter-finals of the European competition.

The first leg of the contest took place at the Bay Arena, where Bayer Leverkusen secured a 2-0 victory with two second-half goals against West Ham United. Despite returning to England with hopes of turning the tie around in the second leg, the English outfit fell short.

In today’s game at the London Stadium, Mohammed Kudus started for his team and played the full duration of the match. The hosts put on a good performance, but a late goal from Jeremie Frimpong canceled out an equalizer from Michail Antonio, resulting in a 1-1 draw.

With the second leg ending in a draw, West Ham United has been knocked out of the Europa League at the quarter-final stage.
