The Ghanaian music industry was once graced by the legendary hiplife group, Praye, consisting of three talented musicians.

Steven Fiawoo, also known as Praye Tiatia, recently opened up about the shocking event that led to the breakup of the group.

Praye rose to fame after winning the inaugural Nescafe’s African Revelation competition in 2004 and continued to dominate the music scene with their hit songs. However, in 2011, the group faced a major setback when Praye Tenten decided to part ways with the group at the peak of their success.

During a recent episode of D-Black’s UNKUT show, Praye Tiatia disclosed that their separation was a result of a misunderstanding with Praye Tenten. He revealed that they discovered Praye Tenten was working on an album with another artist without informing the group, leading to a confrontation and subsequent decision to go their separate ways.

Praye Ho-ne-ho also decided to leave the group in disagreement with Praye Tenten’s actions, ultimately resulting in the dissolution of the music trio. Praye Tiatia emphasized that a lack of communication and resolution played a significant role in their breakup, dispelling rumors that money was the cause.

The iconic group was known for their back-to-back hits in the early 2000s, including popular songs like ‘Angelina’, ‘Kakyere Me’, ‘Otoolege’, ‘Ahomka Womu’, and ‘Efie ne Fie’.
