Major League Soccer club Minnesota United has made a major signing by bringing forward Kelvin Yeboah on board with a Designated Player contract. The 24-year-old Ghanaian, who was previously with Genoa in Italy’s Serie A, is now tied to the club through the 2027 season, with a club option for 2028.
Chief soccer officer Khaled El-Ahmad expressed excitement about Yeboah joining the team, highlighting his experience playing among top soccer players and world-class clubs. With 43 goals and 26 assists in 181 career matches in Europe, Yeboah has a strong track record. He also spent time on loan in three different leagues while at Genoa, most recently impressing at Belgium’s Standard de Liege by scoring six goals in 14 appearances.
After starting the season at Montpellier in the French Ligue 1, Yeboah’s addition to Minnesota United is expected to bolster their attacking options and overall performance in upcoming seasons. The club is eager to see the impact he can make on the team.
