The 29-year-old singer singing when her top was just hanging on by a thread and she had to grip it to avoid an FCC disaster.
Miley strolled backstage while the band continued to perform, then reappeared with a red jacket.
Cyrus openly acknowledged the song’s lyrics, stating, “Everybody’s certainly staring at me now,” before adding, “I’m still in the most clothing that I’ve ever worn on stage.
The star’s faultless solution to what could have been a very embarrassing situation was highly appreciated on social media with many calling it a good and progressive attitude.
Later in the programme, Miley’s co-host, Pete Davidson, decided to offer compassion by lowering his top, displaying a nipple to the delight of the hyped audience.
