American actor Miles Teller (born February 20, 1987) is best known for playing pilot Lt. Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw in Top Gun: Maverick and jazz drummer Andrew Neiman in Whiplash.
Teller made his feature film debut in 2010 and rose to fame for his leading roles opposite Shailene Woodley in the coming-of-age drama The Spectacular Now in 2013 and the Divergent film trilogy in 2014–2016.
His breakthrough came with his performance in the 2014 Academy Award-winning drama Whiplash, which brought him widespread recognition. After Whiplash, he established himself as a leading man, appearing in several love comedies, the superhero movie Fantastic Four (2015), and the biographical movies War Dogs and Bleed for This (2016), among others.
