CNN+ is shutting down after barely a month into its launch. During a live-streamed event hosted by the Common Ground Committee on Sunday night, Chris Wallace did not have any updates to share.

He did say this, “I’m in good shape, whether it’s CNN or someplace else. Frankly, what I’m mostly concerned about right now, and very, is my team and hundreds of other people because there were 300 people, I think, that had jobs at CNN+.”

Mike Wallace cause of death: What happened to Chris Wallace father?

Unknown to many for years, Mike Wallace suffered from depression. In 1984, his condition took a turn for the worse after General William Westmoreland filed a $120 million libel lawsuit against Wallace and CBS.

This was over statements made in the documentary The Uncounted Enemy: A Vietnam Deception, which Westmoreland claimed had made him look as if he manipulated intelligence.

The suit was dropped after CBS issued a statement.

Wallace was hospitalized and diagnosed with exhaustion and later diagnosed with clinical depression after his wife Mary, forced him to see a doctor.

More than 20 years before his death, he received a pacemaker, and in January 2008, he underwent triple bypass surgery.

Wallace died from natural causes on April 7, 2012, in his residence in New Canaan, Connecticut.
