Michael Lynn Parson, an American politician and the 57th governor of Missouri since 2018, was born on September 17, 1955.
Republican Parson, who was lieutenant governor at the time of Eric Greitens’ resignation, took over as governor. Parson completed the balance of Greitens’ tenure before winning the 2020 election for governor in his own right.

In 1985, Parson got hitched to Teresa. They have two kids together. Except for a few months in 2019 when the home was undergoing repairs, the couple has resided at the Missouri Governor’s home in Jefferson City throughout Parson’s tenure as governor.

Michael Lynn Parson was raised on a farm in Hickory County after being born on September 17, 1955, in Wheatland, Missouri. He graduated from Wheatland High School in 1973.
