Michael Lynn Parson (born September 17, 1955) is an American politician who has served as Missouri’s 57th governor since 2018. As lieutenant governor at the time, Parson, a Republican, acquired the governorship when Eric Greitens resigned. Parson completed Greitens’ term and was elected governor in his own right in 2020.

From 2005 to 2011, Parson served in the Missouri House of Representatives, and from 2011 to 2017, he served in the Missouri Senate. In 2016, he was elected lieutenant governor. After Greitens resigned, he took over as governor on June 1, 2018. As governor, Parson signed legislation making abortion illegal after eight weeks of pregnancy and has opposed Medicaid expansion.
