The British and the entire world mourn the loss of one of its greatest athletes Michael Anthony McFarlane OBE who passed away at the age of on May 31, 2023.
Mike McFarlane was a British athlete who mainly competed in the 100 meters and 200 meters races. In 1998, during the Seoul Olympics, Mike McFarlane won an Olympic silver medal in the 4×100 meters relay.
Mike McFarlane also won three medals at the Commonwealth Games in the 200m at Brisbane in 1982. Four years later, Mike McFarlane won the 4x100m relay silver and 100m bronze four years later.

Mike McFarlane was a great athlete who had his best at 10.22 seconds in the 100-meter race. He also won the European indoor title over 60m in Athens in 1985.
