Michael Tommy Hodges was a British screenwriter, film and television director, playwright, and novelist born on July 29, 1932, in Bristol, England.
The British screenwriter who had multiple career paths had his films as a writer and director including Get Carter (1971), Pulp (1972), The Terminal Man (1974), and Black Rainbow (1989).
As a director, he had his film credits include Flash Gordon (1980), Croupier (1998) and I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead (2003), just to mention a few.
Mike Hodges, as he is commonly known, qualified as a chartered accountant, in addition, to also spending two years of national service on the lower deck of a Royal Navy minesweeper.
Hodges who got a job in British television as a teleprompter operator gave up his breath on December 17, 2022, at the age of 90.
Hodges died in Dorset, England.
